In my opinion, this is largely due in part to the fact that language acquisition, conversation and communication is a social act. In order for "adults" per se to engage in language, male and female interaction is important.

In regards to separation, for women in particular as long as the curriculum is fair and inclusive in regards to subjects it should not make a difference. But when the curriculum becomes limiting and narrow in content such as placing women in an area of learning that steers them in a domestic direction that is when I feel it's problematic.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8572501698854836939.post-50631836326017751852017-09-10T11:14:09.535+02:002017-09-10T11:14:09.535+02:00Thank you. It implies to what other people get up all day and night to make the world function to success and what makes jobs either fulfilling or soul-destroying. His books are inspirational but also, this is the first time I have heard him speak. This is actually better that reading. The biggest problem with going down that route is that there is a huge supply of English teachers and price competition comes into play.

Going alone is what I have done and how I have built up a large base of students. It's quite simple to get started, you just need:

1. A website - not a blog or a free site, but an original domain name and design. This is much easier than people think.

2. Tools - Skype, paypal, some other small things too.

3. Students - Getting students is pretty straightforward when you know where to look.

Being independent, finding your own niche, and setting up your own business is so much more rewarding and beneficial in the long run.Jackhttp://www.teachingeslonline.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8572501698854836939.post-1492662876925781022013-06-06T01:39:13.206+02:002013-06-06T01:39:13.206+02:00Currently in the process of setting up my own ELT ...Currently in the process of setting up my own ELT blog.
